2014/15 NBA thread

I looked around and did not find a thread. Could be I'm blind. We are closing in on the real NBA season. The Playoffs. I've been following the Golden State Warriors since 1979 (yes, I'm an old guy). Only off and on, really. Went to a few games with some buds way back when you could get in cheap, then walk down to empty seats. No longer. They have Nazi's for ushers these days. warriors haven't bee real good since 74/75. Though there were the Run TMC days with Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullen. Entertaining days with Nellie as Coach. Well, they look pretty amazing right now. What do you think? Can they make the run to the Championship, or is your team going to knock them back?

 

I think if Cleveland keeps up and Love starts filling his role better the finals will be GS vs. CLE

 

Yeah, that match up has me worried. Lebron gets away with murder. It's like watching him play football with a round ball. The referees don't seem to care that he mangles people. Though, I must say, watching last nights Clippers Warriors game, there was a lot of pushing, shoving, and holding. Guess thats todays game.

Well, we are into the play offs, and the Warriors are on the move. Up 2-0 they rolled into New Orleans last night. They started off hot but then the Pelicans began to out hustle them. Davis and Anderson were HOT! At the beginning of the 4th quarter the Warriors were down 20. I admit, I turned the game off. I get too loud and my wife gets mad at me. Well, naturally, after I turned it off the Warriors made a historic comeback. Third time in NBA history a team came from down 20 or more in a play off game. Crazy. Warriors up 3-0 in a best of 7. The Pelicans are good. Anthony Davis is amazing. And very young. He'll be an MVP fo sho.

 

Sweep. Warriors take 4 straight.

 

Well, clearly, no one gives a crap about the NBA. But my team is in this year so gotta make a little noise. Warriors take game 1 from a Memphis team lacking it's starting point guard. Not sure it would have changed the outcome, though. Looking for another Warriors sweep.

Final Four is set. Action begins tonight. Warriors looking good. Semi healthy.

Warrior fan, here. Not a big NBA guy. Love baseball and football. But have been following the Warriors loosely since 1979. Gotta support the home team ya know.

 

Ya i hear you!I've lived my whole life in CA.but was born in Pittsburgh PA. so i root for STEELERS,Pirates and Penguins.Definetly want to see the Warriors win the title!Only CA.team remaining.

 

Warriors squeaked one out at home. Klay Thompson nearly killed them. Terrible night for him. Rockets Harden could not be stopped. Curry matches Harden, with help from Livingston, Green, and Barbosa.

 

Wow!Excitement in the western conference finals!Gotta love it!As the "DOORS"used to say "The West Is The Best"!Pullin for the Warriors but just simply said this is exciting NBA basketball!

 

If Klay Thompson was playing to his ability this Series wouldn't even be close. Klay is playing terribly. Committing turnovers and shooting very poorly. Warriors squeak out another one, to win by one. Take Series lead 2-0. Now on to Houston. This should be interesting. They could easily lose both in Houston. Unless Klay loosens up and shoots like he can. If Klay and Steph both are shooting like they did all season it's over for the Rockets.

 

35 point victory in Game 3. I'd say you got your blowout. Like to see the same for Game 4.

 

I think the Warriors are going to wrap it up in game five at home.Either way the Rockets are done!There's absolutely no way they'll win four in a row!We'll see!Actually it might be a sweep for the West and East conference finals.

 

I hope it's done in 5. Warriors looked lifeless last night.

 

The Warriors are showing some fatigue but the Rockets aren't going to win the series!The Warriors will be fine Don.
