The cap will add about 130-150lbs. I know that is not a lot for just the cap alone, but when you add other stuff that will be in the bed.
Is it best to upgrade the suspension to help with the addition of weight?
    Thoughts/suggestions?

    Thanks

I drove around with my cap on for 3 years with no problem. Worked just fine. No need to upgrade the suspension just for the cap. Now if you are going to have the cap plus 300+ pounds of gear in the bed all the time then i would. If its just an occasional 300 pounds every now and then i still wouldnt.

Of course upgrading the suspension is always something to consider. Just dont do it cause you think the cap is going to change stock all that much

I run the Firestone load leveling air bags, some recomend Daystar cradles to avoid solid attachment to rear axle.
The ride is comfortable with them, and allows you to level the truck for heavier loads.
    Worth looking into...
