Thanks. It weighs ~ 200 lbs. The bumper shipment said 125 and the winch was 75...

The plastic bumper came off easy. 2 screws and a bunch of plastic clips. You have to take your grill off.

The bumper is gonna come off this weekend to install LED fogs and relocate my solenoid :pout: the plug for the winch remote is directly underneath the grill. Can't plug it in and use without removing the grill currently... Anyone have any ideas where to mount it? I'm thinking up by the battery, hopefully the wires will reach.

I've been so crazy busy lately it sucks. I couldn't back up enough to take a pic in my garage or see the full view of my bumper. Now I'm still in wenatchee (another 14 hour day) so I'm gonna back home to see my taco in dark again :(

I had issues with my winch and grill, so I just took a Dremel to the grill

Good to hear it's easily removable. Are the plastic clips easily replaced? or are they more -you have to break it in order to release it- sort of clip?

With the winch, is the controller plug removable? A few ideas, you could solder some heavy gauge wire to the plugs, and wire up a winch switch inside your cab, or perhaps call the maker of the winch and see if they sell an extension cable for the controller, that you could possibly plop out the front of the grille, or something, thusly allowing you to easily plug in the remote controller. My setup will eventually involve utilizing two circuits on my wireless remote controller for my relay box, one for winch in, and one for winch out. it will involve a little wiring and no doubt some soldering. but hopefully will work.

As for seeing your taco in the dark, the solution is more light! "Azees! LIGHT!" (anybody know the quote?) i have lots of flashlights. :)

The clips are easily removable, I've broken a lot of plastic clips on my truck but I didn't break this time :) yeahhhhh Im unsure of what to do there. Probably gonna just screw It down to the inside of the bumper where I can reach throigh the front cutout. I think I can make it work. Stay tuned for my big stressed out list.

Ok so T-Minus 30 days till I leave for Rock Therapy so that makes for a stressed out Dakota.
I will be bumping this occasionally.

    Todos:
    Relocate Winch Solenoid
Install LED fogs *see quoted post below*
    Build Shock Relocation towers
    Build shackle hangers
Remove leaf and paint Chevy 63s
Cut off *entire* rear suspension components and go weld crazy
Install King 12" shocks - ordered
    Remove sway bar
    Install snorkel - ordered
Flush and refill coolant - looks scary low!
    Mount Hi-Lift Jack

    Possible Todos:
Ok so because of the fog light problem Im tempted to just install an auxiliary fuse box because I have a huge cluster fuck of wires under my hood, running off of my battery, and going through my firewall. If I do that Im thinking well should I just do a switch plate too? Sooooo here goes

    Install auxiliary fuse box
    Build plate for fuse box
Order and install cheap LED pods for rock lights
    Order switches for switch plate
Call out my inner wire gypsy to tackle this

So yeah that's where I'm at... Opinions? Questions?

I find it really hard to believe that LED fog lights will be pushing more than 15A. even though they come with a 30A, my 50" RI RDS lightbar only uses 28A and that is a much larger amount of light. so i can't imagine if your fogs would push more than 15A. I personally think you'll be fine. If you have the manufacturer and model of the lights, you should be able to look up what the lights pull. another quick way would be to plug them in, turn them on, let them burn for 20mins. if your 15A fuse pops, then you know they're pulling more than 15A.

if they were incads, then you might have a problem. that's just my two cents.

that is probably enough. but obviously, consult your owner's manual. be sure to check your hoses too, would be a good time to replace them if need be.
