TCAI and the snorkel have the same concept in terms of where the air comes from, but the snorkel is longer and more angles might not help

    curious bout those numbers too

Looks like you're ready for an expedition! Idk if you're planning in dropping into any rivers soon, but just wondering if you sealed up the factory intake? There are a few holes right before it goes into the fender.

I'm also wondering if there will be any power or mpg gains. Even the factory intake sources air from behind the fender, I think that the only gain may be from the ram air effect. But wouldn't the ecu correct any leaner condition?
Either way, looks bad ass and skewps add 15 hp. No matter if it's on the hood or a snorkel!

No. I hate mud, and not many river crossings here. Need to seal up a lot more than intake. All electronics, and bottom of the cab too.

Since you have the scoop/hood, I was thinking you wouldn't need to have the drain holes in the factory intake tube.

I don't hate mud, I hate cleaning cleaning it off!

I would like to give a big thanks to the Ewa and Kailua shop (Mike and Miles). They helped me install a new starter in my Civic. Actually they did mostly all of it. :anonymous: ;)

Whoa, new look to the forums.

I thought that the snorkel hood is supposed to expel rain that enters? I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

yeah, it has that vectoring drain at the top, but I think some would still get sucked into the main body when the buckets start to dump..remember the 40 days of rain a bunch of years back? :p

    all I need is a garage :D
