Ain't gonna happen. Might as well stop worrying and thinking about that

It was a bad idea from the start.

In Soviet TW, thread watches you

I'm going to add that back. You, @DefconBrix and i'm sure many others really like that feature (I used it often as well).

Thank you... but instead of those choices being right at the top menu bar when I come to New Posts or Today's Posts (first arrive at TW to read what's new), I now have to click two or three different pages to have that search feature?
The bright, big screen glare is also hard on the eyes.. so at the moment, I agree with another reply in this thread that mentioned reducing the reading area and/or darker background.
Bob, thanks amigo... I know you can't please all the people all the time!

Wow! What a change and it seems to have gone smoothly, good job and congrats to the folks that did it. I know just how hard this can be.

Unfortunately the site design follows the current fad of low contrast colors. It makes it far harder than it needs to be to read the site. BTW that's just a minor complaint, everyone is doing it now days, I'm just hoping the next fad is more user friendly. Oh and are the new fonts smaller?

I believe Bob is working on a darker version of the site that we will eventually have the option of using. I know the color scheme was mentioned frequently as being hard to read.

And, while I don't care much for the redesign, Bob is pretty awesome about how he runs the place and is hella receptive to his userbase. Which is why, even though I find it kinda painful personally, I'm sticking around reporting little things with y'all. I think Bob'll get things tweaked quite a bit over the next few days. I've also got an idea how many hours he and the gang ahve put in behind the scenes to make this all work, and I'll support his efforts, even if I don't like 'em personally.

Thanks. As you and another member mentioned, it's very low contrast which I hate as well. I'm getting together a nice dark theme (light text on dark background), and I'll improve the contrast on this one over the next couple days as well.

Under the hood, this software is light years ahead of the old one. Plus there was no more support for the old one, and you know how that goes (as a sysadmin).

New Pm's, subbed threads, rep comments, who you referred to the site, any profile changes, (sig, descriptions or otherwise) were all in one place.

I'm sure it's all still here but I'm at the point where a new format - even a better one - takes time to learn.

I know we pmed about this prior to the switch - don recall getting a response on all the points.

    I'll make do.
