I've been cutting a lot of holes in this thing lately...

Main focus right now has been on getting the Truma Combi4 mounted, plumbed then of course working!

I decided to cut a hole into the tongue box to allow for more room and use that space to run the heat hoses through.

    * wiring is a mess right now while I get everything mounted — once everything is mounted then I will dial in the wiring.

Inside the tongue box and how the heater hoses will be laid out.

Before cutting the holes where the heater hoses will be outside accessible.

I went with 3" RV style bayonets for easy attaching.

I have all the hoses cut down to size for the Truma Combi4.
Now the final mounting can take place.

I have such a mess in GooseGear drawers right now. My OCD goes crazy!
I am planning on heading over to Colorado to visit TrekPak and have some custom liners made so I can easily change and organize all my crap.

Hey Sean, When you have a chance would like to know how you selected batteries for your trailer. i.e. Did you make a list of powered goodies and say I want to be able to run this stuff for 3 days, wing-it, etc.

I went completely overkill to be honest lol
The Odyssey Batteries I have are huge but will run everything I have an more for a very long time without needing a charge.

The thought process went something like this though... The biggest for the space allowed. Originally the batteries were going to be placed in the tongue box. After researching some of the Odyssey Batteries I stumbled upon their specialty PC1800 size. After taking some quick measurements of the space between my slide and the trailer wall I never looked back. One would have been plenty but I went with two in order to balance out the weight and placed them both over the axle on each side.

I have shore power and also ZampSolar portable solar panels to keep things charged up if ever needed though.

I got pretty sick so progress on the trailer slowed down but feeling a bit better and going to tackle some more today.

    Some progress:
    _3 Rigid rocklights installed
_Truma Combi4 mounted and the heat lines ran (2 out the passenger side, 1 out the driver side and 1 into the cargo area).

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

    Still left to do:
_Run power to the Truma Combi4
_Run propane lines to the Truma
    _Cut hole for Truma exhaust
_Cut hole for propane line access to outside tank
_Build a bracket & mount 12# composite propane tank to rear door
_Stack RotoPax cans on rear door
_Instal the new Timbren Axle-Less suspension
_Mount ARB twin compressor & tank in the tongue box on a custom platform above the heat lines
_Clean up all the wiring after everything is installed

Many of you have asked me about the suspension and I originally wanted something better but never spent enough time fully researching all the options. I have seen some overkill setups that looked cool but cost outweighed benefit for me.

Well I had one suspension recommended quite a few times at different events and gatherings and finally took the time to do my own research and start comparing.

I came out with a winner, placed the order and got it within 5 days!

    Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension

I will be getting this installed hopefully on Wednesday and will document the process.

Check out the video of this thing working!

Here is sort of a mock up of how the heat will be ran into the tent.

Using RV sewer hoses/connections (new of course lol). These were the best solution for all-weather and water proof plus thick enough to hold the heat in for minimal loss.

When the tent is open there is a flap in the center where the hose will go into and from there I'll be enjoying the warmth.

In extreme weather I can easily run two lines in the tent on both ends if ever needed. I can also provide forced air heat to any friends that are camped next to me with the third line.

Interior shot I snapped a few weeks ago I just ran across hiding in my camera.

You can see how the interior has been sectioned off into multiple areas, each with a purpose.

    Absolutely loving the GooseGear additions!
