As the title states, I'm selling my 1998 White Tacoma 4x4 (manual locking hubs) Automatic SR5 Xtra Cab.

Keyless entry, Power windows, power door locks, remote start, split seat with center console, cruise control, etc...

The interior is amazingly clean, It's had all weather mats and seat covers since day one.

Ice cold A/C, heat, radio, wipers, etc. Everything works.

No frame rust. Per two different Toyota dealerships, my VIN did not meet the TSB, and has been under body treated at the factory. In addition it spent it's first 12 year in lower Alabama and never saw snow or salt.

I am selling it for the sole reason that my wife and just recently had spontaneous triplets in addition to our 3 year old. The truck runs amazing well and has been maintained to a tee. We are in the process of buying a minivan since we now have 4 kids. With the Tacoma, I can't even place a child seat in back, so it just won't work for us.

It comes form a non smoking family and has a ton of extras and maintenance all installed or completed in the last 12 miles:

    UPGRADES

    - 3" Toytec Coils
    - 3" All Pro Leafs
    - Bilstein 5100's all around
    - Diff drop
    - Carrier bearing drop
    - Brake line extension
    - BAMF BPV extension
    - ARMA Spray on bedliner
    - Toyota OEM bed mat
    - Toyota tow hitch
    - Side step tubes
    - Hunter Bull Bar
    - 55w Fog Lights
    - Pioneer CD/MP3 Radio
    - American Racing ATX Ledge Teflon Coated Stain resistant Wheels with all locking lugs and hub covers
    - Yokohama Geolander H/T 31x10.5-15 tires (practically new)
    - Black housing head lights
    - Clear housing turn signal
    - Black Grill

Every single piece of maintenance necessary has been completed and then some. ALL with Toyota OEM parts. In the last 12 miles (I only drive it 50-100 miles a week), it has had:

    MAINTENANCE

    - Timing Belt
    - Serpentine Belts
    - Water Pump
    - Thermostat
    - Cam seals
    - Front main seal
    - Valve cover gasket
    - Valve cover housing plugs
    - Valve cover spark plug seals
    - Throttle body gasket
    - Intake Manifold Gaskets
    - Intake Manifold Elbow replaced
    - Radiator
    - Radiator Cap
    - Radiator Flush
    - All coolant radiator hoses and clamps
    - Oil cooler gaskets
    - Steering rack bushing replaced
    - Steering rack loose fix
    - Front wheel bearings replaced
    - Front upper and lower ball joints
    - Axle Seal
    - Fuel Filter
    - Sparkplugs
    - Ignition Coils
    - Sparkplug wires
    - Master brake cylinder
    - Brake Proportionate Valve
    - Brake fluid flush
    - Sway bar bushing
    - PCV Valve
    - Transmission fluid flush
    - Air filter
    - Wiper blades
    - Front Diff, Rear Diff, Transfer case flush/replaced with Mobil 1 Synthetic
    - Oil changes every 3 k with Valvoline high mileage semisynthetic

    It's pretty much brand new.

I'm also including the including the original OEM wheels and the mud/winter tires.

    ISSUES

    - ABS

So the ABS light is on and after a lot of researching a diagnostics by Toyota we found the ABS actuator needs to be replaced. It's a known issue with the ABS in the 1st gens. The harness that connects to actuator was poorly designed and heavy (Just one of the many issues with the 1st gen ABS). Over time the gravity and heat causes the top of the harness to begin to loosen and throws the codes for the front and rear driver side ABS sensor (the two most top pins in the harness). There are fixes on another Toyota site on how to clamp/crimp the pins in the harness to have a tighter connection. It's works for some. It only worked for me during the winter. In the summer, with the heat, the connector went back to the same old. The ABS actuator is $450 form the dealership, so I opted not to repair this since the brakes work perfectly. I've tried looking for a used actuator a salvage yard, but since it's a known issue, the actuators either sell first, or the salvage yard wants ridiculous money for a used part.

    ACCIDENTS

I was in a 5 MPH bump at a stop light. At the time I had a full grill guard. The grill guard actually caused the damage. It bent and scratched the fender, chipped a tab on one head light, and cracked a tab on the grill.

I used this opportunity to replace the headlights to the black housing and the grill to the black grill. I also installed a bull bar instead of a grill guard, since I didn't want the possibility of a full grill guard damaging the truck again.

I still have the original head lights, and turn signals. You're welcome to them. I also have smoked tail lights that I had to remove since they are not allowed per VA inspections. You're welcome to them as well.

    That's it...

I'm asking $9,900. I know it's high, but there's nearly $2k into the wheels and tires before all the maintenance and other upgrades. I am flexible and reasonable to the price, but we definitely need a buy a minivan, so I'll work with OBOs.

It has 189,900 miles on it, and ready for another 189,000 miles.

There's pics in my signature and here's a link to 40 recent pictures. Let me know if there's problem with the link.

Your truck sold? Congratulations! It's gorgeous, and if I could have gotten to VA easily or paid for shipping, it would be mine right now. ;) Take care! Jen

    No worries. I understand.

I had about 40 calls in the last 2 days between cars. com and craigslist.

Sold in 3 days for $600 more than my bottom line.

    I'm very happy.
