abs controller fault, need advice!!! please HELP!!!

    :( i was told by eastern shore toyota that the abs control module has a open solenoid fault, which is going to cost 1888 to repair. ive examined the unit (still attached) and im curious if the controller unit can just be replaced, without having to change the pump. thats to big a hit on my budget right now. does this actually have to be "programmed"(per toyota) or just simply bled once functioning again? theres got to be a cheaper option and any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    If it is a modulator solenoid fault, I'd buy a used ABS module assembly, install and bleed it. I highly doubt it needs to be programmed to the specific vehicle - if at all possible, get a used one with from the same year and configuration of truck - IE, V6 auto prerunner access cab, or whatever your exact configuration is, to ensure any changeable configuration with ECU parameters are the same.
