My first new vehicle (Longest INTRO thread)

I just wanted to say hi,new to tacoma world.This is my third tacoma that i just bought.Very informative sight.

 

Hey, Im pretty new around here. This is my first vehicle ever as I turned 16 around a year ago. I purchased a 1999 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6 2WD with some already pre-installed car mods. Ive been coming on this site quite frequently for tutorials and such and thought I'd finally join and say hello!

 

Brought it home today....2015 Tacoma SR5...crew cab. White as white can be...first white vehicle I've ever owned. Look forward to tackling the deep and heavy upstate NY snow...and skiing Whiteface every chance I get.

 

Hey guys new to the forum, jst got my 2015 SR5 4x4 its a base model with trd pro suspension, wheels and the predator side steps. so far loving the ride and makes me forget how much my JK JEEP sucks.

 

hello, new to the site and so far I love it. Just bought my first "new truck" and first Toyota. Bought a 12' TRD Tacoma 28,000kms pretty much new. Looking forward to seeing how-to's and info on my truck through the site.

Just purchased my Tacoma last month and like many here it is my first new vehicle!



I purchased the Pyrite Mica double cab, TRD Off Road.

I have been wanting a tacoma for over a decade. About 4 years ago while shopping for a used one the Mrs talked me into a Nissan Titan (dont ask me how that happened, still no clue), after driving it for about 9 months and never seeing north of 12 mpg and not ever using it as a truck I traded it in for a subaru. Three years later the Subaru was getting a little small for a family of 3 and 2 great danes.

After looking online at all of the nice used tacoma's out there I decided I wanted to go new since I would be buying at a dealership. The prices were nearly identical for anything with less than 30k miles and brand new.

The dealerships in my town were trying to play games with my trade in so I started looking regionally. I found a dealership that also owned a Subaru dealership and they were willing to give me what I was looking for on my trade in and had lower prices than my local dealerships. I feel that arriving home with 285 miles on the odometer was well worth the extra $3000 I got/saved by going a little further.

I have been browsing the forums for a few months while looking for info on the tacoma and really like the cool community here.

My use for the truck is probably similar to most here. Commuting, camping, dog hauling (2 great danes!), cycling and small home improvement projects, with some light off-roading. The grand dream for the truck would be over-landing and off-roading, but thats for a time when there are no payments left on it.



I have put an ARE X series topper and a rubber bed mat on the truck, looking to get weathertech floor mats and maybe seat covers to keep the interior nice for as long as I can.

I've been an import enthusiast for the past 8 years, living the "stanced" life, from a lexus is350 to my most recent Infinity G37s.

And here i am, traded in my G37s for a 2015 Tacoma, a truck that fits my career and a need to go off road, camping and such. I do miss my G, but i love the no worries of speed bumps or the gravel roads around Nevada.



Bit even 300 Miles into the car, i've added my 1st stages of mods.



I just took it out to a very rocky area going up a mountain, the experience was absolutely amazing, equals that of going 160 on the freeway, but its safer and no cops haha

Last week I traded in my baby - an 03 Nissan Frontier KC SC - and picked up a 15 Tacoma Dbl Cab TRD Offroad. Ive been driving 2WD 1st Gen Tacos at work for almost a decade, and now I finally own my own Taco. Looking forward to learning all the ins and outs of these rigs from you all, just as I did with my ol' Fronty.

 

I didn't realize this until now but was I supposed to make my intro in this thread ? I started a new one....sorry!

New Tacoma owner! Went with the double cab 4x4 TRD Offroad. Already got some Arizona dirt on there. Installed the tailgate mod, and a Dakine pickup pad to haul mountain bikes.

 

Hi everyone! I bought a 2013 Tacoma a couple of years ago, but this is my first time here. It's a a 2013 Tacoma Double Cab Prerunner with TRD. The vehicle I had before that was a 2008 Tacoma Extra Cab. I loved my first one so much, I got another one

hey guys, joined a little while ago but havent put my truck up yet. 09 tacoma dbl cab. love everything about this truck! hopefully in the next couple weeks or so ill have
my ome lift on, just waiting on my tc ucas to come in. this weekend i should be able to install my rigid lights with the famous fab hood mounts. trying to get her ready
for a 2 week road trip im taking out west in july!
