Um, what's your point? Did you mean to post in some other thread or something? The title of this thread is "2016 Order Dates" and is very much on our minds. We're trying to get orders in. The first ones. That indicates that we really want the truck, like, now.

Find me a better definition of passion. i dare you.

What I did when I bought one of the first one hundred 2nd generation Tacomas to come off the assembly line in Fremont, California. Security removed me from the parking lot of the factory.

They recognized me as the same dude that had followed a masked mule train for 35 miles, two months earlier.

Can't make this stuff up. Did I win the dare?

There is plenty of talk of waiting a year. Is this thread only for getting on the waiting list? Don't mean to kill anybody's buzz.

Maybe you should go talk about the new engine in one of the thread's for it:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ok-the-3-5-should-be-a-good-engine.361073/
This one if for order dates.

Do you know (or can you find out) if cooled seats will be an option?

Toyota doesn't do cooled seats outside of maybe the lexus LS series. its a matter of cost to route the plumbing from the a/c to the seat blower. best you can get is vented seats.

I am responding in this thread to those who are hesitant about getting a new 2016 Tacoma and the reasons they are giving in this thread. At this point, if you are not understanding my train of thought, I will just drop it. Carry on. I greatly appreciate these updates

OK, TACOWOODY and WOODYSTACOMA just posted back to back in the same thread. How cool is that. This is a sign that I must purchase a 2016 Tacoma sight unseen. Cap, are you with me or still on the fence???? LOL

What's this "on the fence" shit? I've had an order allocation worksheet for a 2016 Limited 4x2 DCLB Limited on the inventory manager's desk since 28 January. So far, we've penciled in tow package, locking trifold bed cover, and nerf bars. We'll ink the thing once the actual 2016 specs are published, and then my order is off to San Antonio.

I'm so far ahead on this baby I can't even see the fence anymore. Daddy needs his TRUCK!

It's quite possible you might have to order your 2016 Taco before knowing all the engine specs isn't it? I remember Ford kept their specs hush even when the first F-150's were being produced.

No sir, I am asking why you followed a train for 35 miles and then showed up to the assembly factory to be removed by security. Did you think the factory would sell you one as it rolled off the line?

You're looking to get a DC so your order may be sent to Mejico. Can you specify that you want one from San Antonio?

OK I might lost it a little back in the day. There was an extraordinary amount of secrecy surrounding the release of the 2nd Gen. Tacoma. Everyone was buzzing about it because it was such a complete departure, in looks at least, from the 1st Gen. Tacoma.

I am trying to draw parallels to where we are currently. Toyota already had a 2.7L. But this was a new engine. The 4.0L was a sort of carryover. This time, the V6 is totally new. I am still suspicious about the 2.7L. In summary, I do not have any reservations whatsoever about the 7GR.
