    Hi!

Just finished a 2nd gen supercharger install on my 1999 5VZ-FE. 4WD won't engage. This little guy was once connected to the front of the upper intake manifold (above the rad fan) and now he's hanging out all alone.

Supercharger install instructions do not mention this bit at all.

My understanding is that this is the one way check valve for the Automatic Differential Disconnect (ADD) that allows air into the ADD solenoid, but not back out. Somehow it needs to be pressurized by the supercharger intake plenum.

Does anyone know where this needs to be spliced in to the vacuum lines on a 2nd gen supercharged setup? Should I run a vacuum hose here from the boost port? I'm at a loss. TRD tech support has not been helpful on this issue.

Others with the same system: how did you make your 4WD functional after the SC install?

I suggest reading the TRD_PTR29-89020_3400CC.pdf again. It clearly states how to run the 4wd VSV to the trd for your model year on page 23. The only comment of a check valve is on page 13 and that's the only check valve included with the sc.
