I usually drive with my DRL's on but when driving on the highway or in crappy weather I like to have the headlights on. The problem is when I switch the headlights on, the Nav screen goes to night mode and then I cannot read it, so I end up having to turn off the headlights to use it and then turn it back on.

All the threads I found are about adding lights, or having DRL's on with the headlight on setting, but I would just like to add the headlights to the DRL switch position. Is it possibly an easy solution or a PITA?

Which radio? I have the touch screen unit and you can set day/night mode very easily

I know it only takes a few steps to switch it back and forth but that's not something that I want to do back and forth unless there is a way to add a button on the main screen or something. I like it in night mode when it's darker out.

Looks like I'll just use the drl's during the day instead of headlights.
