Access door wont open

Quick question ,my paeeenger side access door wont open. And I cant open the door to fix it! I there is no resistance on the handle when pressed . Something got disconnected ,or fell off in there. Can I take the door panel off with the door closed? Can I manually work the top or bottom latch ? Thanks all.

If this is an Access Cab check between the doors ( on the rear door ) there is a Black Wedge that will disengage the rear handle when the front door is closed. It is most likely stuck in. There is a post here somewhere that has a picture.
