Was at kaena point last night, seems like someone dumped hundreds of nails around the area at the end near the big boulders/mud pit.

    stuff...
    That's dirty....

The worst is when DLNR put the boulder in the middle of the small mud hole. Hole was just deep enough to submerge the boulder under water. I remember seeing a Mazda pickup parked there in the dried up mud, whole front end smashed in. Boulder was where his motor should've been.

No didn't grab any pictures, my friend and I grabbed handfuls of nails before leaving. Gotta go back with one of the floor magnets sweepers to pick them up faster.

    Hello TW Oahu,

Headed there for a week for the wife's bday. Her bday is May4 and she loves seafood. Any restaurant you could recommend that is GREAT seafood? I just don't trust tripadvisor or yelp, and any info would be nice. We have a rental car so don't worry about distance.

Also any other info would be nice for cheesy tourists. We don't mind hiking and love the "other beaches" Like hey go here, not there etc........

    Thanks!!!!

    Aloha

Brother...here's a little secret only us Locals know of (Till now...:p): "North Shore Grinds" in Kaimuki Google it! You won't be disappointed and the prices are not over the top like in Waikiki. I recommend the Furikake crusted Ahi with whatever side you feel like having with it. All their seafood is over the top! And the side salad has a house dressing that you would die for! The guy working there use to be a head chef at the Turtle Bay Hilton and then decided to open his own place. It's small, quaint and cozy and not stuffy like a high end restaurant. High end seafood at afordable prices!
