Probably the general problems. It's awful. Shifts too often on hills, reacts slowly when gas is applied can't hold speed properly etc.

Oh shit wait. Manitoba. Nvm you guys don't have hills lol. Probably just the acceleration issue.

I'm from Winnipeg I bought my New 2018 Tacoma SR5 about 5 months ago and I love it.I bought a regular cab Dodge Hemi brand new in 2005 loaded and dualed it out with headers and other body mods bolt on I loved that Hemi more than life and heart broken to see it go and bought the Tacoma. It took me a while to get used to the Tacoma being a 6 cylinder compared to the nice rumble of the Hemi which had 400 hp. from the 346 hp. it had when it was stock. The Tacoma has plenty of power at a little over 300 hp.I'm a little over 6ft. tall and 180lbs. my wife a little smaller but we find it ok for roomyness. We think it is the sharpest looking truck out of all the mid sized trucks.I took in to consideration with all my research that Toyota is the #1 4 wheel drive in the world travelling in the worst areas in the middle east to the congo and jungles of Africa etc. Most will say that the motor is slugish yes I think it is at times but give it a little more pedal and the thing takes right off.I don't think it shifts too often but then I have not had it out anywhere doing hill climbing or big hills on highways.I'm 53 years old and baby it most of the time driving it in the city and found that I was getting 20 mpg. ya sorry I drive it like an old lady but less wear and tear on the vehicle. My hemi averaged 13mpg. on mid grade fuel the Tacoma is on regular fuel.I really like the gas mileage.I might trade it in a few years down the road and get the TRD or TRD PRO they have a few more options and better suspension then the SR 5. I wanted gray on my access cab as well but I had to settle for black. But next time I will buy in late fall and save 3-5 grand. You should take a used one out for a test drive for a half day and judge it for yourself. Good luck bud.

So what made u decide to go to a midsize? For me, have always owned a full-size. My wife and I travel to the cottage every weekend and we live in a condo now with underground parking. During the week, I’m in the truck 100% by myself. I go to lake wpg lots in the winter ice fishing. Just need to make sure that the Tacoma will handle my needs. I’m thinking of resale value on Toyota as well. I have test driven the Tacoma a couple times. I think the dblcab has more room in the back than my 15 Sierra dblcab. I don’t tow anything other than a utility trailer or my sleds.

I decided to go to midsize mainly for gas mileage and the truck has plenty of room for us.Resale on the Toyotas is a lot better I think then anything else out there. Also I have talked to a lot of people young and old driving the Tacoma and basically for the first 7 years all they did was fluid changes faithfully that was huge for me also. There was only one older gentleman that had a problem with the rear diff a retaining nut or something I think.I love this truck man I think it is short, stocky, and aggressive looking even more so after I put on the Good Year Wrangler Dura Trac tires.Quite a few people have told me as well that these trucks have no problem running past 500,000 kms. if you take care of them for me that is huge too.Try getting that out of a North American piece of junk.No offence to anyone that drives North American but they just don't last they are making them cheaper and cheaper.
