King 2.5 25001-119A EXT with Icon Billet UCA giving a 2.5" lift in the front, Icon 2.0 w. remote resi, OME HD Dakar Leaf pack giving a 3" lift in the back. Wheelers Superbumprs paired with All-Pro U-Bolt flip kit. 17" Black 4Runner TRD Pro Rims - 32" for DD 17" Black 4Runner TRD Pro - 33" BFG KM2 255/80r17 for dedicated off road set. Dissent Offroad Bed Rack over a softopper
I'm trying to complete/buy the second half of my build ('15 DC TRD Off Road) and I need to stick to my strict budget (I know buzz kill). With that I'm stuck between two options and I would like to hear some opinions from experienced mods/off roaders. Ideally if money/budget we not an issue, I would go with Icon 2.0 w. remote reservoir and OME Dakar leaf pack. However like I mentioned I need to stick to a budget. I can't decide between my two preferred remaining options which are an Icon 2.0 w. remote reservoir + an Icon 1.5" AAL or going with a Bilstien 5165 + OME Dakar Lead Pack.

After my lift is done, I plan on doing light to moderate off-roading, mainly fire trails. I don't see myself doing a lot of heavy hauling or towing in the immediate 2-5 year period. Ideally I would also like my upgraded set up to ride a little smoother than stock (wife complains enough already about the OEM ride).

Icon 2.0 and the AAL. The AAL makes the rear more compliant at the cost of payload. Icon says that with the AAL the rear payload is reduced by about 20% but offers a nicer ride (the AAL replaces the overload spring). Icon says you can keep the overload spring in with the AAL if you want the extra payload but it will ride more like stock. If you are not hauling then I'd go for the AAL.

I would probably do the add a leaf and icons. I think you'll benefit more from the icons than the bilsteins.
