4 years ago for my 12th birthday my parents gave me $100 and permission to buy a shotgun. I picked out a Remington 870 express 20ga. Love that gun. I have since purchased my second firearm a Savage Axis .308. Also have the single shot H&R .410 my grandfather passed down to me after he realized giving it to my uncle was a bad idea and it would just get pawned. That's the extend of my gun history sadly.

Remington Nylon 66 chambered in .22lr. My dad bought it for me when we lived in Anchorage back in 1969. While I don't shoot it as much as I used to, its still has a lot of great memories associated with it.

Aside from air rifles as a kid, and Dad's guns, my first was a Savage model 99E in .300sav that I bought for deer hunting.

    Still have it.

My father gave me a H&R Topper Jr. single shot .410ga when I was 12. It has taken down many squirrels and even a couple of deer.

Remington Nylon 66. Dad bought it the week I was born "for you," he said*. I started shooting it at age 10 after two year of demonstrating responsible safety and practice with my Daisy BB gun. Moved up to a single shot .410 with slugs for deer hunting and later, Sweet 16 for birds and a .270 for deer. Years later, when I bought my first gun, I bought a Remington Wingmaster 870.

*Right, like the Les Paul I bought the week my first kid was born

Have you seen what these Nylon 66's are going for now in this ^ configuration (black and chrome)??? I bought mine for $75 in the early 1980's and I have seen them going for $800 NIB. It is crazy! If you still have this, you may want to hang onto it.

At about 11yrs. old my father gave me a Remington bolt action clip fed with a 5 round and a 8 round clip, that his father gave him at the same age, researching the serial # shows early 1930's Production. To this day it still operates as new. We had about 600 Acres in Corn, so this was the weapon of choice for Opossums, and Raccoons and the occasional rabbits. out in the fields. About 1966 I acquired a High Standard Double Nine for the job. Double Action, nine shot , swing open cylinder. It can be reloaded in the dark, Raccoons travel in large family groups, pull down one stalk of corn, take a bite and move on to the next, they wreak havoc on your Crops. killed thousands over the years. These days I have a CHL and carry a Walther PPK everywhere I go.

Ain't it the truth! A few years ago I added a black/chrome Nylon 66 to my collection along with my dad's Mohawk brown Nylon 66.

If I could now just find one in Seneca Green I'd have a complete set........
