From what I have been looking at you will see +15LTFT at closed loop at cruise with no unmetered air getting in and +5-7 at idle. Just doing some math and measuring air flow in the stock box.

Open loop will be 1-0 unless those tables learn from the closed loop. I'm not that far into Toyota tunes yet. This manufacture is new to me.

It would be nice if Quirt would post expected fuel trims after the mod.

I expect the block to lean it out, ie. + fuel trims. But if your already lean you need to know that going in. The Tacoma already sees pinging on a stock MAF at times.

They did four segments yesterday throughout the morning news show. All of them are supposed to be on their web under the reporters name, but to be honest I have not checked yet.

Ok, an update. Here its been a week, and i still haven't received my oring. I didn't think it would take so long from San Diego as im in the cali bay area. Don't want to start giving off negative vibes about Crawford, but i am getting a bit anxious. For those who have received their orings, what kind of packaging did it come in? Envelope, padded brown envelope, box...? Just want to know what to look for

Two weeks since I sent an email for the o-ring. Haven't received a response or an o-ring in the mail. Tried getting the o-ring using the part number posted, but was only able to find it sold in packages of 25+.

It might sound stupid, but did you try to install the o-ring? If it's the same size as the one they sent me, it looked way too small and was definitely a smaller diameter than the original 5 year old one I had, but it stretched and fit fine and definitely fit tighter than my old original. I can't say whether it's the new O-ring or if gas in my area has changed but I've been getting about 1/2 mile better mpg since installing. Overall I'm consistently getting 1 mpg better than before the ecoblock. According to my Ultragauge I'm averaging 18.2 in mixed driving.

Is there anyone that has one of these and does a good bit of towing? I'm curious if the extra load from towing would/could cause the fuel trims to get outside of the 25% range. I wouldn't think so, but I'd like to hear from those who have done it.

    It fits... :smack:

Doubt they are only sending proper ones to the cool people in the secret club :gossip:.... mine fit :boink:

Put it in some hot water so it's a bit more pliable and give it a go.

The extra load from towing will grantee that you will be in the open loop fueling mode which has no fuel trims. Closed loop means that the computer looks at the signal from the 02 sensor and matches it to an air fuel ratio in the closed loop look up table, it then takes the difference and adds or subtracts it from the main fuel map. Open loop fueling ignores the 02 sensor and just uses the main fuel map and its other compensations to tell the fuel injector how much fuel to inject.

As soon as you stretch it onto your sensor, it will be the perfect size :)

Did you have a chance to figure out what was causing your lean issue? I'm curious if it has anything to do with the Eco Block.

Quirt, will you be monitoring the trims/ratios when you do the dyno?
