Dump it. Not sure if you are running it with tips or not.

cut it off and run a straight pipe.i dont think any muffler system is going to give u a good idle sound.(everyones has different opions).i have the magnaflow as well.remember these r only v6s,not a built up v8.

ya i know i want to keep the smoothness of a magnaflow. i didnt think there was a way to get a louder sound but i was just asking.

straigth piping it will make it sound horrible. so raspy and rough.

i had the same thing, bought a banks and it was quite as hell....i would not suggest running it off the headers, this means you no cats, muffler, no form of back pressure, your truck is going to slow down a lot and you'll lose mpg not to mention that there is nothing blocking air from flowing back into the engine when you shut off your truck...if its a cold day out, the rapid hot-cold change can and most likely will warp your pistons...not good

so i would suggest doing what i do and keep your cats and just cut it off right before the muffler...i mean since i have the banks, its a 3 piece, so i have clamps under the truck that hold the pipe up, i got rid of the muffler segment and got the same length and diameter pipe the muffler which is 3" and i forget the length 26 something inches for banks, so it ends before the back axle but its being supported....even without the muffler i notice slightly less power and mpg but its not a big enough difference at all for me to put it back on and its loud as hell....driving by you can set off car alarms....

as for idling, after its warmed up it sounds stock, first time up on a chilly day in socal, that badboy will be heard a few houses down...i love the idle on those days, when you put it into reverse, its sounds like a boat idling like rawrawrawrawrawraw and pretty low pitched too

this set up isn't as raspy as you think, especially if you keep the tail pipe segment that goes over the axle, it will sound really refined and just as loud, mine is pretty refined but gets a little raspy if i just start it up and its not warmed up and i jump on the accelerator, only once its up to 4000 RPM's though

i've been really happy with it, it sounds bad ass, i wish i had a sound clip... let me see if can find one...
