    Awesome setup, and nice fabrication work. I've got to know though, why sick with leaves? You've got everything all apart anyways and the welder is out...why not stick a few links on there while you're at it?

    I thought about it, But I still use it as a truck from time to time & I didn't wanna loose any bed space. For me, this was the way to go...

    just an idea but on a 1st gen could the bottom stock shock mounts still be used and just the right top mount be moved rear word like this [​IMG] I was thinking this setup without the ubolt flip kit

    Ya it wasn't my pic just one that I found im just searching for ideas and trying to keep the spare tire in its stock location. One reason im interested in this setup is that the shocks would be near the same width as before to hopefully keep handling the same

    When you work on the same truck everyday, for the entire summer, tell like midnight, then work everyday. The last thing you care about at the end, is how rough the shock mounts look...lol. I have a grinder, 2 actually.

    Having shocks closer to the wheel also is more efficient because wheel travel is more relative to shock travel. And helps control body roll.
