I want! But I think you have kind of broken me. I think I should wait, pay it off, and then get the big boys on with the stage 4 kit. Unless you think this is something that probably shouldnt be passed up. Plus I would probably have to buy uca's, right?

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I will check it out for sure. I have been up in the air over the duel xpgps or the Garmin version. I've also been playing around with PDF MAPS and download maps from their map store. Worked out pretty good last weekend with a day trip trough death valley. I'm looking for something that I can build and customize a route and go off of that for an Android tablet.

Ignore the black that's a different track but the red is a run from Peggy Sues to Afton then over to PowerLine rd back to the highways. It was a blast though

Viewranger has a website for its users that allow you to log on and plan your trip using the exact map thats on your tablet. When your done planning you can upload it onto the server then access it and download it onto whatever device you are using. Viewranger also lets you use it on up to 4 devices for no extra cost.

I was hoping to get a consensus on times but no one really chimed in. So i'll pick a time. How about we meet at Peggy Sues at 10am with a plan to be out of the parking lot by 1030. LMK how this works out for everyone and we can adjust as needed.

It is pretty easy interface. I made a few routes without reading any instructions. Plus you can import the ones you have already and modify them as needed.

    1. Options
    2. choose a map
    3. map
    4. US Topo with Trails
    5. create saved map
At this point there is a selection at the top that says detailed/Regional and Custom. I select custom and move the 2 sliders all the way to the right. This will download the most detailed maps but use up more memory. Then you can start selecting the areas you want to download to your phone/tablet. You will see that the areas are tiles that turn red as you select them. If you mess with it enough you'll figure it out. Once your done selecting hit download. You will not be able to do the whole area in one download. If you select too many tiles it will let you know. The areas/tiles that are downloaded and stored on your phone will be green to let you know which areas were previously downloaded.

There will be more. There are a couple more trucks that may be going that have not responded to this thread.

So is the 58 anywhere close to where we'll be? Or does the trail go anywhere close to the 14 or 58? Im just concerned how bad the Vegas traffic will be.

The main interchange between the 15 and 58 is about 10 miles from Peggy Sues. There is a exit to old HWY 58 4 miles from peggy sues that will get you to 58 so you don't have to drive thru barstow.
