Figured I should start a thread to keep track of what all I've done to my truck since I picked it up in February.

This will be my second built Tacoma. I drove a 2002 dcsb with 6" and 33s under it for 8 years... Until a woman decided to turn across my lane and totaled her.

    43B8274E-E0C5-44DB-A616-65A2A855FA77_zps_5cd26f4a68726cc7ad7a0eb5a1279b3bbedc03ac.jpg

So I picked up the new truck on Valentine's Day... 2015 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4 with tow package and entune plus.

    First day home...

    169914BF-30A1-4140-89DE-0912799F4177_zps_1ea2f4ffd9c69e5250160431b741bbf7034e7cf6.jpg

First order of business was to plasti-derp the badges and ditch the Bridgestone highway tires. Found a set of 265/70r17 Fierce Attitude MTs on Craigslist for a good deal... Only 500 miles on them when I had them installed.

    B798EAEF-196C-4197-AECA-2341997191B0_zps_e6b63e32ce525d65e9f3e3da9fa31e565995b82e.jpg

They were a pretty decent MT for the short time I had them on there... But then I saw the FJ Trail Team SE wheels and I had to have them.

So I con'ed a set from a dealer... $640 shipped to the house!

Found Discount Tire Direct's $100 off $400 purchase and got a set of 265/75r16 BFG KO2s for $612!

    CE957670-2928-499A-B37E-3B8822738DF8_zps_a7770f84d1e654cccf7722ac394d9e57855f05fe.jpg

Thought I was done for a little bit... But I stumbled across an awesome deal on an Old Man Emu lift! 887 coils, 90021s up front, dakars, and 60091 in the rear.

This morning, I ordered a set of Light Racing UCAs that should be here mid week... Plan on tackling the lift and UCAs next weekend hopefully!

Get home from work and my girlfriend surprised me with an early birthday present... A set of Husky Liner X-Act Contours! These things are awesome and fit like a glove!

Possible plans for the future include; craigslist camper top (added), sliders (installed), TRD exhaust (installed), depo tail lights (installed), front and rear bumpers (wishful thinking! - installed Pelfreybilt front!)

Appreciate all the TW help along the way!

You didn't have any issues with the Dakar Leafs? I was told they don't match up on the 2015

No I didn't have any issues with the Dakars fitting and I haven't heard about any either.

I have heard about possible fitment issues with the 2015 and OME 60091 shocks. And mine did require a little finessing and wedging on the bolt angle, but we eventually got it.

Yeah, no problem with the 16s on the Sport. Ordered the rims from some dealer in Cali for $144 per wheel and then they gave me 10% off coupon. Had to provide a picture of a FJ TT vin though.

Added some depo tail lights last weekend...

Also picked up a HomerTaco mesh insert and a Land Cruiser emblem. Hope to tackle that and the black head light mod here in a week or two... Just gotta grow a big enough pair to cut my insert out and pop my head lights in the oven haha!

Spent the weekend cutting up my grille insert and sticking my headlights in the oven... Results look pretty damn good!

    Time for the updates...

9/26/2015 - My truck was parked at the stadium for the game my daughter was cheering in and some woman decided to plow into the driver's side front and rear door trying to park.

    3DB81262-6FE3-4911-B142-416FEAC53F50_zps_12b78285d54a07b6648a963be351ed6bb5961acc.jpg

    BEB89800-87F0-4617-BFEB-53B248C738D8_zps_96d9d6eff7e4860f47f9507e15ca7eea61a8c6c2.jpg

Her insurance covered the accident and damages were around $3500. Replaced the entire front door, rear door skin, and paid me $315 for the driver side predator step (which only had a faint scratch after polishing).

Turned around and sold the predator steps for $300 locally. And decided to put that money to a set of SOS kickout Sliders!

Also, the truck has lost value due to the accident. This is known as diminished value, the difference in value between a wrecked vehicle and an unwrecked one. I took the diminished value check and came out of pocket the difference for a Pelfreybilt single hoop front bumper!

10/30/2015 - Figured the truck wouldn't look right with a Pelfreybilt bumper and 265/75r16s... So I bumped up to 285/75r16s. Paid $712 for the KO2 285s and sold my old KO2 265s for $600... Not a bad come up for $112!

Just wanted to know what color the inside of the depo tailights are? Gloss or flat black? I plan on doing the BHLM and ordering these tail lights but, when I do the BHLM I wanted the color to match the depos. Thanks.

Cant wait for the bumper on this black beauty! I was thinking it would be cool if there was a way to paint the TRD on the wheels white to match the grill toyota. Anyways sexy build and great steal on the shell. Ive been trying hard to find one but all on the west cost are like $700 and up sadly

I think I used the Fusion Black Satin spray paint for my BHLM. The depos are more of a gloss than the satin I used, but it's hard to tell.

I'm definitely ready for the bumper too! I have had the Rigid fogs and light bar in my storage room since before Christmas!

The TRD on the center caps are engraved, so it wouldn't be hard to paint them at all. But I actually like the little hints of red.

I was actually kicking around the idea of painting the front Toyota logo. Painting the white lettering black with a thin red outline. But it would require a good bit of taping and time/effort. Plus those emblems are ~$40 if I happen to screw it up!

    Appreciate it!
