i want too get my headlights and tail lights blacked out but a lot of people are telling me that I'll forsure get a ticket for having them all blacked out. I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over for it som wondering if it's true or not.

Yeah they are illegal, however practically anything you do that doesn't come from the factory is, check local laws and see.

However the only reason you will really get pulled over for them is if no one can see your running lights or brake lights or you are running crazy colors in your headlights or something.

If you do it use the tint paint, not just regular spray paint of panty hose. Also make sure you can still see your brake lights when your done.

I'm confused. Do you want to black them out like a tint or black them out completely?

Oh okay, that's just a tint. I don't think plasti-dip makes a tint but I'm no pd expert.

Don't plasti dip them, when you shine light through the plasti dip it looks like cracked crap.
Also don't do the spray tint. you will for sure go to far and it won't shine through at all, I done my fog lights one time with it and HATED it, light didn't travel at all and it also looked cracked.

Buy some already tinted lights or go professional or you will regret it trust me.

just be aware that if you were to get rear ended that they can blame it on not being able to see your tail lights... as for headlights, you can do a retrofit projector and black out the reflector bowl. doing so won't hurt the light output but also it conceals the lights as well!

For taillights, Depo makes one that looks like the OEM LED ones but mostly blacked out. The appropriate reflectors are left chrome for more of a safety stand point.

For headlights, hit up your nearly identical twin @ambiguous for a proper HID retrofit with the BHLM (Black Head Light Mod). Keep the reflectors chrome for better safety and it'll also match the Depo taillights.

Of course, this is just my suggestion on what you're looking to accomplish, but post pics on what you decide to do!

I went with DEPO tail lights and VHT Night Shade paint on the third brake light.

No complaints from the local constabulary.
