Yeah, I'm not sure I understand either. IIRC, I needed to compress the shocks to get them on when the tires were back on the ground.

And stripping a shackle nut? Do you mean rounding it off? That seems pretty incredible. When was the last time your torque wrench was calibrated? Or did the socket slip off the nut while you had it loaded up?

I think his shocks aren't long enough...he's got more lift than expected. As for the shackle nuts, I just snugged mine up using a 1/2" drive ratchet since they are nylock. It indeed sucks, though.

Torque specs on the nuts is 67ftlbs. The ones that came in the kit seem like cheap zinc and are not nylock. Just a nut and a lock washer. The actual threads stripped probably somewhere around 50 ftlbs. Anyway, the shackles were in line with the spring not letting the spring flex. That was the issue and after straightening that out, the shocks went on fine. Wasn't my best moment I might say. Didn't even check the shackles.

I swear every single nut and bolt is froze on this truck. Not a single one came off normally. Not to mention everything is covered in undercoat. Have to drill out cotter pins, broken drill bits, had to cut the top of the old strut off. Ridiculous. EVERYTHING on this truck is bound up.

Oh and thats after 3 days of PB soak.

Ah. That sucks. I was fortunate to have basically zero rust or undercoat shit, so much less hassle.

What type of bushings are you rocking? Rubber or poly? Use a lithium based grease if you have polyurethane bushings.

They are the ones that come with the ome kit so i think they are poly bushings? Right? Is the SuperLube synthetic lithium based grease. The one they sell on wheelers

I was told to use molybdenum based grease, so that's what I've been using.

Did anyone else have a problem with leaking CVs after your lift install? My front end was fine for the last few months until about a week ago when I finally removed the sway bar. Now my passenger side has a very minor leak. Boots aren't torn at all, it just seems to be coming from the inner portion of the axle where the shaft meets the boot, almost as if the lift separated the clamp from it's original position. No noise or anything out of the norm, just a little grease flung up in the wheel well. I purchased a diff drop and have yet to install it, but am now considering doing so this week if it will help with the issue?

Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,
Pretty normal for that to happen. Both of mine did. I replaced one cuz the boot tore. The other has sealed itself up. Or something. Seems to be ok.

Sounds good. It isn't causing problems yet, so I'm not overly concerned. Still going to do the diff drop since I have it.

I think this has more to do with aging rubber from a decade or so ago that had never been asked to flex that far previously. I had one go on me at some point after I removed the sway bar, can't remember timing. However, if the boot had zero years on it when I put the 881s on and later removed the swaybar, I doubt it would have failed when it did.

No personal experience with diff drop, but everything I've read says it does nothing.
