Hey guys, new to the forums.

Ive owned 4, 1st gen Toyota over the past few years and recently just picked up a 95 tacoma v6 4wd, manual transmission with 210k miles on her. Body is in pretty dam good shape, very minimal frame rust and engine seems to be strong.

Not sure what my plan for her is quite yet, first things I want to to make sure she is mechanically sound and go from there. I have next to no automotive background but I'm rather handy, electrician by trade. I'd like to learn about the truck be able to fix and maintain her for years to come. I know this forum is a treasure trove of information and I can probably find all the info i need by sifting through the various post, but I'm sure a few of you would like to pipe in and give me some advice. Plus ill keep you guys updated with lots of photos and all that good stuff

I have a clicking/ticking noise that is coming from somewhere on my drivers side that is constant and increases as I accelerate, the tire treads hold onto rocks like a mofo but I've pulled them all out and its still there. Possibly a cv joint? Also the engine is dirty as shit and I'm assuming it has a pretty bad leak since the engine is covered in oil pretty much everywhere below the valve cover. So I'm assuming replacing that gasket would be a good place to start.
