What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

got my footpacks finally so I installed my thule racks

 

Oil change and new spark plugs. Found out that the dealer I bought it from used lied about having just changed them (bought it at 33k miles), original plugs at 72k miles! Might help explain my drop in mileage over the last year.

 

Not today, but yesterday. I joined a group for a run up Cleghorn Road. This was supposed to be a moderate run, but there was some carnage along the way.

I escaped without any major damage. Just a ton of scratches from bushes and one rear fender hit a dirt wall on a very narrow trail.

Picked up a Bestop Supertop off of Craigslist for a steal. I also washed all the dirt off the truck from the weekend.



So far, I love the Supertop.

 

I hope a lot of those scratches buff out for you. I've got scratches like that all down my truck from trails too. The first time I did it, I had the truck professionally waxed. It looked better but not back to where it was. Now, I just don't even bother anymore. I figure when the truck gets so bad, I'll Line-X the whole thing.

Color matched my grille and painted my badges black.

 

Installed RokBlokz mud flaps.

Buffed the body. She's shined!

Detailed some more of the undercarriage. I hate rusty spots.

Some spear of a boulder thought hi fiving tire wall was a novel of an idea up there yesterday road home on my stock spare. Justified phasing out these beat kuhmos though! Did you guys all meet at shell? I think I saw your group on my way out to to santa fe rd. Around 9:30???

 

Today I ripped off another mudflap (same one as last time) and also ripped off my passenger rear fender flare. The clips all stayed on, but the fender pieces those clips hold on to broke .

Now I need to find a new fender flare. Anybody got one??

 

Mudflaps are shitty anyway, these trucks look so much better without them.

 

Illegal to run without them here, plus my tires fling rocks. The mud flap does not concern me.

It's the rear fender flare on the passenger side which I need to find.

We met at Cleghorn Rd exit on West side and rolled right at nine. There were 12 vehicles in our group. Lots of fun!

 

Glad others are using my rendition of the foglight mod as well! mine has been great since i first did it!

 

My buddy, Alex, helped me wire up my new 32" light bar. Still have to aim it a little better, I think.

 

Today- - - anxiously waiting for tomorrow to have my TRD supercharger and TRD exhaust installed! I won't be able to sleep!
