    Hey,

So im looking to head down with my gf and dog from good ol canada and gunning for a 3-4 day trip. I search for camping sites but just coming up with rv looking spots with what seems to be tonnes of people. Im hoping for something slightly remote, im in for some minor off roading but primarily somewhere with a nice view and some nearby hikes. Even a good site with a bit of privacy is nice. Just not in the mood to see 40 people from my campfire.

Anyone in the area have any suggestions? Some sites they use for reference and ideas?

    Any help is appreciated!

I highly recommend any where in Northern Idaho. Locals are the nicest people on earth and will always help if needed plus in my opinion its the most beautiful place. Anywhere along Lake Pend Oreille or Priest lake is amazing. Tons of forest service roads to go camp off of and be alone, just watch out for bears and moose.

The areas you are interested in have millions of acres of National Forest. Grab some Nat Forest maps and explore the set up camp wherever you want.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I camped and hiked in NE WA (Ione, Metaline Falls area) a few years back. There were REALLY nice primitive sites that can be found pretty easily off of Sullivan Creek Rd., and a ton of cool hikes and old lookouts to go explore.

I grew up running around like Jungle Boy in NE WA and N Idaho. We camped, hiked, and hunted pretty much anywhere we wanted. I was in my 20s before I realized how screwed down other places were with controlled and limited camp sites, camp hosts, no overnight camping restrictions, crowds, rules, etc.
