It's stupid, but I have had equal complements on my softopper compared to anything else on the truck. Go figure.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
What do you all put on you softopper after washing ? I've been washing and drying but treating with anything. What's the right stuff to use ?

I haven't used anything... the previous owner jacked mine up pretty good (at least the rear window) by using some harsh chemicals... I just had them replace some buttons and clips and they told me to only wash with a mild soap and water. I'll probably have the window replaced before moab as I can't see shit out of it

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/303-30313-Aer...30740197&sr=8-1&keywords=aerospace+protectant doesn't leave a bad residue and keeps it looking new. That's what I do before I store it in the garage. Just don't put it on the windows.

Thanks. I heard that works fine. Not sure why I don't see it locally.

I had a Softtopper on my 03 Frontier for about 6 years and absolutely loved the versatility - will probably get one for my new Taco. Has anyone ever experimented with making a slider access flap in the back window? Id like to figure out a way to rack my fly rods on the inside and run them out the slider and into the bed. I think the only other way would be to put a bedrack over the top of the softie and put rod tubes up top.

I'm really considering one of these. Mostly for my dog. I worry about the heat in the Florida sun? I transport her in a wire crate in the bed and I either need a travel crate or a cover in the event of rain. Maybe roll up the sides?

you can roll up the sides, and you can even get a screen for the rear...
