For those who know more about these trucks than I, is this a factory sunroof? I searched and have seen people say yeah their truck came with one, and no Toyota never offered it. It leaks a little and I'm trying to source a replacement weather strip or maybe the drain tubes

Sorry for the less than stellar pictures...

Looks like it may be one of these

Until I can justify new tires and leveling out the truck, I've been finding small things to mess with that have needed fixing since i got this thing.

Today I replaced the bulb in the shifter that has long been burnt out. I left the orange condom off the new bulb since I've never been crazy about all the amber lighting in these.

Still have to do something about these guys...

New tires are on the way, in the 265/75 flavor. Bilsteins will be on the way as well. The plan is to run them at the middle setting with no lift in the rear, and depending on how that looks I'll consider an AAL or longer shackle. Pics to follow...

My tires showed up the other day, still undecided on whether I'll get them mounted now at stock ride height or wait till after I get the bilsteins on.

Installed the front Bilsteins after work today, set to the middle height setting. It was dark by the time I finished so the after pics will have to wait till tomorrow. It needs an alignment, but I'm happy with it!

Today I pulled a bunch of vacuum hoses that were dry and cracking to replace them with silicone tubing. They had a few colors but I went with black, so the engine bay looks pretty much the same. Heres some of what got pulled though.

Next I'm planning on new plugs and wires so stay tuned! I know it's lame but I'm just enjoying finding things to mess with on this truck

Pulled the glass out of the sunroof to try and fix the slow leak I have coming through one of the hinges. Found the PO's attempt at fixing it once I got it appart.

Nothing too exciting going on with the truck lately. I did did fix an annoying problem though. ..kind of. The battery that came in this truck is too small and sometimes slides in the tray, which would sometimes put tension on the little body ground and cause the truck to not start. It's a little redneck I guess, but it was free so I'm not complaining.

Installed some new Bilsteins on the back of the Taco this evening to replace the rusted out shocks that came on the truck. Then flexed it out in the driveway to check the lengths. Combined with an adult beverage or 5, this made for the most exciting Friday night I've had in a while!

They're a little close on the compressed side but I think they'll work

Today I replaced some front bumper pieces that were showing some serious wear. The plastic was faded and the chrome was rusting. I think it looks good but there's a small gap between the bumper and grill thats already grinding my gears a little bit. So that will have to get figured out before too long

Finally got around to replacing the burned out climate control lights. I got 3 replacement LEDs for $8 so no complaints from me!

Snag a 4Runner climate control face cover for your hvac to have white lighting if you don’t like the red look!
