To FIPG, or not to FIPG, that's the question...

I'm doing my timing belt/water pump next weekend (V6).

I've come across some posts that suggest that I should not use any FIPG in addition to the gasket on the water pump, and, I've come across some posts that suggest the opposite.

Should I use the stuff? On the water pump? On the thermostat cover? On my soon to be father-in-law?

    Looking for opinions....

I'm guessing the timing belt/water pump kit you bought came with a water pump gasket? I just used that when I did mine. No need for anything else...
