Nice. Maybe I'll see if Harbor Freight has some tools. It's not a huge deal. Was just gonna pop them off the other day to see how they looked dipped black. Then I noticed how hard they were to get off. Thanks for the reply.

Edit: Does anyone have a front and back photo available of the centercaps? I can always pop a wheel off this weekend and take a look.

I dipped my center caps with the wheels on the truck. It wasn't too much of a PITA to tape off, and it turned out good. I have the gray wheels, so I used the anthracite gray color to match and did my badges/emblem at the same time (Pics: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ur-tacoma-today.6499/page-3201#post-10171734). I wasn't sure that I liked the color-matched center caps at first, but they are starting to grow on me.

I have 295/65/18 with very minor trimming.....I'm sure a 285 wouldn't rub without any trimming. 285's should fit the factory bead baja wheels.

Thank you......my friend did them at his bodyshop . He said he sprayed the whole cap black and then sanded the black off the letters to expose the red again and then applied the satin clear coat .

I really like the way the hood turned out . I had my doubts at first but after the finished product was done , I was really happy . I am a fan of the scooped hood but I got hit with the dreaded glare that I heard people talking about , and that I thought there was no way it could be that bad , so I did something different . I also made the hood a functional cowl hood so you can really see the heat escaping .

I read somewhere that the TRD Pro comes with additional undercarriage armor compared to the TRD offroad.
Can anyone confirm or deny this is true?

To the best of my knowledge.....no, it does not. It does come with the trd front skid plate but I wouldn't exactly consider it armor....hope this helps.

If you got the TRD Front skid on a Taco Pro it was a dealer add on. Not OEM. Skids are all stock TRD OR stuff.

    No mods whatsoever!
TX suspension arrived today for my (cough, 2014) TX Baja. :taco: I haven't opened the box yet. Stock piling parts and then the suspension upgrades will begin. I will be searching for members who have upgraded to the TRD suspension and asking lots of install questions. Thanks Rich at Morristown Toyota!
