    Hi All,

I've tried searching for this question although all I did was further confuse myself, so here goes. I have a handfull of Rigid Dually lights that I would like to install on my Tacoma. I have six Dually lights, which I plan on running in separate pairs. I plan on having one switch control two pods at a time. I would like them to be able to be turned on whenever, so I will be wiring them directly from the battery.

I have very basic knowledge of wiring and electrical components. I had originally planned on wiring the lights directly from the battery (fused) through a Contura V switch from OTRATTW. The switch indicates that it is rated at 20A and 12V. My question is do I require a relay, or should I be alright without one? I understand how relays work, although I am not very familiar with how they need to be wired. I just want to be able to have the lights turn on when the switch is on, and off when the switch is off. Simple as that.

So my question is do I require a relay for each pair of lights or would I be alright without one? If I do require one, I will need some help as to how it should be wired.

    Thanks in advance!

    John

    Too many to list..
My dually lights can with a wiring harness from Rigid with a relay inline. Very easy to wire (I suck at wiring too). It was labeled from them (Red Wire +Battery, Black Wire - Battery). It took me no less than 10 mins to do, only issue was finding out what wires need to attach on which post on the switch.

I used the Contura V switch's from OTRATTW as well. You will need to cut or step down the size of the blades for the switch posts. They are not the correct size.
