Anybody know of a decent video editor? (preferably free, haha). I have been using windows movie maker, but it seems to cut out too much quality...

How you compress when exporting will be what affects quality. I only have experience with FCP and a little bit of Premiere.. want to learn Avid.

But yeah, back to the question.. if you can still get lightworks free that'd be your best bet. There's some decent free stuff out there if you're not that serious about editing. Stuff that'll allow you to get your stuff cut up and presented in a reasonably clean way. I don't have a lot of experience with them per say but I remember Avidemux being touted as a good fast editor that doesn't fuck your stuff up or confuse the user yet still does most things you require of it. VSDC would take a little more of your time but it has more options than Avidemux, especially beneficial if you need video/audio combining abilities beyond the realm of drag n drop point A to point B type operations.

    Good luck!

Problem is I have too many pics. Trying to get through 164 pages of them but can only do 2 at a time. The Bob is aware and I can be patient, I know he has a flood of input.

Brady i tried to find good editor programs that were free last year.... with not much luck. I ended up biting the bullet and bought a subscription. I have the avs video editor. It works great, takes all my different cameras files as inputs, gives me a ton of diferent editing tools, music is easy. Really does what i want it to. Now i wish i had a better video card on my laptop so it could refresh better with long hd videos:)
