I've had a 2002 sr5 4x4 double cab for about a year now and I LOVE this thing!!

I bought it with 175,000 miles and I'm the 3rd owner, I don't think it will ever have a 4th.

Besides the great look of these trucks, The "wife and kids factor" will never be an issue.
Anyone who has ever owned an awesome "Bachelor toy" and then gets married knows that is usually one of the first things to be replaced by a minivan in the name of practicality.

But the double cab Tacoma (because of their off road abilities) can be built to climb mountains, and because of their interior space retain the ability to haul kids, in-laws, and groceries in comfort. Making these trucks true "ALL PURPOSE" vehicles.

Not to mention the fact that a custom built 4 door Tacoma is a hell of a lot cooler that a "rolling tampon".

I've only had mine for a weekend and I already love having the extra rear interior room. Accessing it is even better thanks to the rear doors. My extra cab has enough room for my wife and I, but it's just a pain to load up.

Also the front seats in the Limited are very comfortable, even with the extra padding my Wet Okole seat covers provide in my extra cab, there's no comparison for me.

It's going to be tough to see my extra cab go but I think this one is a keeper!

Thanks man! Your truck is looking good too man!

The plan is to transfer parts from my white extra cab to this one. I'm hoping I can get to it sooner than later...so it's not staying stock for long.

You went from an extra cab to your current truck too right? Pros/cons? Any regrets?

Pro is the space and four doors. I love all the room inside of it man. Con is bed is a little smaller but it hasn't affected anything I've hauled yet and my double cab is a prerunner...for now

Sounds good man. I've only had to use the full bed on my extra cab a handful of times in the past year. Most of those times I could have placed some of the cargo inside, so the smaller bed may not affect me either.

Doing a 4wd swap? Nice! I don't have the time or room to tackle anything like that right now. So, this truck popping up on my local CL was a dream come true! This was the only truck that I would consider selling my white one for.

Not sure if this question was for me, but I'll answer anyway. Yes, it's a limited. It has the limited badges right behind the rear doors and on the tailgate.

It also has the bigger bolstered front seats with power lumbar support. There's a knob that adjust the seat bottom height/angle (seems to just raise the rear part of the seat bottom).

No sunroof...but my white extra cab came with one and I was able to find a factory sunroof cover for it as well.

Thanks again. Yeah, I agree. That's why I jumped on it. I think I was the second person to take a look at it.

I don't mind. It was listed at $15k. The seller and I agreed on $13,500. Thing is, it still has the original timing belt on it. So that's getting replaced right away (next week actually).

Besides a few dents and scratches, the body is overall in pretty good shape. The interior is in even better condition (specially after I cleaned it up). It also has factory floor mats (might replace these with my weathertechs) and drop in bed liner (temporary until I have time to get it line-x'd).
