    Some more pics...

You can see the flat sides of the bulb face the orange reflector nicely.

The color matches the projector light well but you can see the halos are more blue.

On the licence plate lights, the flat sides of the bulb face the window nicely.

I wanted to post back on these LEDs. I have had them in for about 4 months now and of the 4 I had in the corners and license plate light all 4 have partially burned out. I took a video of them but it was pretty bad camera work. I will post it if anyone is interested.

I am now running with these JDMA Astars. They are highly reviewed and use the latest 5630 SMDs which are the brightest I have seen. They also closely match the color of my pure/natural white projectors. We will see how they last.

    Cool. Thanks for that.

It is strange that LEDs are all advertised for 50,000 hour life span. I think it must be poor heat management that kills them.

I hate to say it but I think I have changed more bulbs since I switched to LEDs than I ever did using incandescent :D but I still love them so maybe someday the reliability will live up to the promises.

I'm running VLEDS for my headlights, fog lights, DRLs (switchback), front corner lights, reverse lights, and rear license plate lights ... and have yet to be anything but thoroughly impressed with the output and reliability of them. Pricey but worth it IMO.

Anyway I wanted to say I loved the build quality and form factor and color for these LEDs but they just don't seem to survive continuous use.j

Again, sorry for the bad camera work.

Thanks for the sharing the video. I'll have to check my rear license light to see if they're still ok.

So these JDMA Astar LEDs are a bust already. I've had 7 of the 10 fail in the first week. I love the color and the brightness but I get the feeling I am getting the QC rejects from an assembly line.

Looks like I will be trying the VLEDs :D

Damn that sucks. And I JUST ordered some of the jdms last night too. Bummer. Also ordered some different 1156 leds for rear turn signals. Will see how they all fair. I've got some 194's from superbrightleds in the front markers. They've been in a couple years and still going strong. But not very bright. I may just have to stick with them if these fail like yours. Not gonna bother with trs led products, regrettably. I really want to have faith in their products but had way too many failures with their halos in the past. I also saw they make the 1156 too and really want to try them. They do offer a 2 year warranty. But not worth it if they are just gonna keep burning out. Idk. Not having much faith in any led products lately myself. But like I said, sbl has pulled through in the past with quality for me. I may see if they've got any newer products I might be interested in trying.

Ok. So JDM is going to refund the white bulbs. I also got the same style in red and amber but they are in blinker and stop light locations so I think they might be fine.

I am gonna save my pennies for the VLED Triton V3 switchback system and convert the corners pods to combo parking/turn signals so I will be all ready when my plate bumpers are finished.

The VLEDs arrived already and so far are doing fine. They are as bright and as white as the JDMs which I liked except they died in like 48 hrs LoL.

Nice. Well I'm patiently awaiting mine in the mail. I have had these ones in the markers. But they use 5050's. Aren't that bright. But have lasted 2 years or more now.
    https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...d-led-tower-miniature-wedge-retrofit-car/206/
If the jdm don't last, I'm just gonna slap these back in there. I plan to custom retrofit some eagle eye bolt leds in the marker area whenever I get to doing my new set of retro headlights. But they are cheap and the projector lenses on them fall off. I'm gonna try to figure out a way to better seal them up.

Holy shit those jdm's are BRIGHT!! Lol. Just installed them. And boy do they get HOT too. I only installed the 1156 in the rear for turn signals. Had the hazards on for about 5-10 minutes while I took vid and pics, and they got pretty hot... The front 194 I have to take my whole grille and headlight assembly off to get to the bulbs with my setup so that'll have to wait. Just wanted to share. Fingers crossed they last! Ha.
