Random fact of the day: I forgot how much I missed the old music like classic Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., etc. More C - Minus please :0)

To all that have cut your exhaust pipe just over the rear axle, is there any drawback in doing this?
Like getting more fumes in the cab etc...
If not, do you have something I can cut it off with & a file to clean it up?

I didn't notice any change whatsoever when I cut mine. and I'm pretty sure you've seen where it was cut

^ Those are some good bands by the way! They rarely make good music like that anymore!

Thanks for the reply & info Chris. Although I have seen your exhaust, I can't remember where it's been cut or if you've had any of the exhaust rerouted....

What did you use to cut it...the self hiding grinder we used to cut my old u-bolts off?

haha! No grinder, just the sawzall. Takes all of about 30 seconds to do. Only "reroute" I have was a section I moved up about 1.5 '' to make room for the mid skid. Other than that, all stock.

Thanks again Chris... would you mind if I used your sawzall at some point to do that?

I don't like my exhaust under the cab. It's loud.

what kind of exhaust do you have? is it actually cut pre-axle under your cab?

I cut mine right where Chris did and have had no issues yet. Takes about 1 minute with a sawzall.

Sounds good....if i can make it over. You know, after thinking further about cutting the exhaust....I have an aftermarket muffler that's pretty loud, and so maybe I should wait till I get a stock exhaust so my cab won't rumble as much. I mean, it's already so dang loud & I certainly don't want to make it any louder.
    What are your thoughts?

Does having a dumped exhaust effect a smog check?

Yes, it dumps after the muffler. But it could also be the aftermarket headers and muffler that are simply loud. And the obnoxious exhaust leak :goingcrazy:

What is up with the people littering up at bridge to nowhere?!
I sat up there in the bed of my truck(on my lunch break)today & read a book as I ate my lunch. When I was done eating I noticed an empty 1qt. oil container in the middle of the road. I picked it up and put it in an empty plastic bag I happened to have in the truck from a recent purchase. After doing that, my eyes wandered around looking for more....and I sure found it! Loads of empty beer cans/bottles, wrappers, etc. That's just lame people go up to nice places like that and leave their trash all over. [/End Rant]

Where is bridge to nowhere? There is one in Azusa that is a really fun hike. Never heard of one up here.
