Does anyone know if this will work putting two of these under back seat? Trying to get away with not having to rip out all that plastic behind the seats.

    Fucking look it up
A 6.5 inch sub you won't notice much of a bass boost especially not a 4 ohm if your looking for deep clean bass look into 2 ohm with a mono block amp and you can get custom made 10 inch boxes for behind the seats without ripping the plastic out depends on your budget

You can easily do a single 10 inch sub sealed on the one side and only pull one plastic panel out. Its a plastic panel man.

lol really ? there is such little storage behind the 40split on the small side which is about enough for a single 8-10inch

    understandably,
If that is the what the OP does then there is an argument :) but under the seat output is really poor. We did it to test and was really disappointed

True, Seat is pretty thick and that's not a lot of driving force there. I'm probably going to go with a 10" on the passenger side and rip the plastic out. Got my son's carseat on that side so it's not like it's easily accessible anyway. OP I believe I'd go with something more than a 6.5" sub. I think you would be very disappointed in it.

Throw it in the attic. No one ever goes up there much less throws anything away from up there. :D

Plus they are on here all the time with people getting rid of theirs. Not like they are hard to come by.

The setup from JL Audio Stealth is pretty sick. But $800 just seems kind of a lot for it..

man, i can help you out with 2 triton 8s for a much much much cheaper than that :) and provide = or better performance :)

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/shok-sound-deadener-group-buy-4.362264/

Page 1 first post, scroll down a little bit.
There is a picture of the shok triton 8,
If you want to go with an amp, the 5 channel is amazing and powers the 8-10 inch triton beautifully with 500wrms.

There is quite a few members now that should be able to chime in with a word or 2 on the tritons performance and build quality

I'm running 3 of these little fellers ..I probly sound louder then most these 10inch setups .most ppl under estimate small diameter woofers..but you would be supprised ..it's not about how big or how many woofers you got .it's about what box you have them in. I was shooting to fit them under the seats but there wasn't enough room to run a proper ported box..I have them on the top of the seat for now. But there going behind the seats..

Yeah, ported vs sealed is a massive difference in output,
I don't like sealed boxes for that reason and with proper box design and tuning it sounds just as good
