Doing a little work. Been a while since I've updated y'all. My truck has undergone very minimal and minor cosmetic changes as you can see. I decided to plastidip some rock chip protection on to see how I like it and have recently added a huge Powerstroke sticker on the side, in honor of my dads in the background. I have some money that I've made recently. I'm gonna have my cab mount chop done and since my coil overs have settled slightly I'm gonna get them cranked back up to the correct ride height. I'm also looking for a good cb. I don't want to buy a cheap 30 dollar walmart cb as I like to buy high quality things for my truck. Any experience with the 80-100 dollar range cb's, I would like to hear your thoughts.

I just can't stand the compact ones. They look to cheap to me. No offense to anyone that likes them.

As much as I didn't want to get a compact radio. But thanks to MatthewMay1 I went with a uniden 520xl. Thanks for the reccomendation! Im still waiting for my antenna and mounting stud for my bracket so I can drill the final hole on it and paint it but here's what I've made so far. I had to be creative and fiddle with bending the aluminum to get it to contour to the bend where I mounted it just right. But here is the bracket so far. It's a tight fit but I think it will be fine. image.jpg

Got the cb mounted and the coax cable is routed to my bracket. Just gotta wait for my antenna and hook my cb up to the battery! Please excuse the spare change and my girlfriends bobby pin. I find them all over my truck. And yes that is a shovel down there on the floor, for dead bodies.image.jpg

OP updated and now has a lot more pictures. My cb is nearly done. Just waiting for one more part in the mail so I can attach my coax cable to my antenna. Pictures of the install will come soon.

CB install is done. Just needs tuned. Also got my cab mount chop done and my coil overs readjusted, all topped off with an alignment. Feels like new :oldglory:

Decided to move my antenna because I thought it made my truck look like an RC car. Plus the antenna was giving me trouble tuning it in that location.
