I have a 97 tacoma 3.4L 5 speed extended cab. Im having trouble finding a bull bar for it. All the ones ive found are 98-04? Is there any difference in the frame for the mounting kit? Any suggestions on a brush guard or bull bar? Thanks for any input.

    ^Hey Yoterbomb04,

It's just my opinion, but I would save up and get a full replacement front bumper. It will be stronger, provide a better approach angle, provide a front hi lift jack location, give you a proper winch mount and actually protect the rest of your rig if you need to use it. As for the frame, the 95-97 rigs like ours don't have the extended frame horns on the front. (Check out the first page of my build to see what I'm talking about.) I'm not sure the first year that those extensions were installed, but later years have them.
