I have Entune with navigation on my 2015 Offroad. I have two questions that I was hoping someone could help me with:

    1. Is there a way to mute the auid? I know I can just turn it down, but it would be nice if I could just mute it, like one does with a TV
    2. Sometimes, I'll accidentally tap the nav screen, and a circle with cross-hairs will appear, as if I am trying to enter a way point, or measure a distance. How can I escape out of this? Most of the time, I do it by accident because I have fat fingers and am very clumsy.

    Thanks.

Press the mute button on the steering wheel.

Press apps, go to a diff app then go back.

Or try the back button on the steering wheel.

You will notice another symbol at the bottom next to the dest button that appears when you touch the screen. Just touch this and the screen returns to normal.

    Seriously? I don't think I have a mute button

I have what is shown in this pic, and I have the volume controls. But it only toggles up and down, no mute.

Look at the mode button. Lil speaker picture with a line through it and says HOLD. I think that is the ticket.

By volume do you mean the "+ - " toggle switch below the "Mode/Hold" button? Also, when I press and hold the Hold button, it mutes it, but it also pauses it, like Tivo. I just want a freakin mute!! :)

Try pushing the volume knob and it should shut off audio while leaving everything else up.
Not near my truck to try it right now but I think I've done it before.

Yep, got this to work yesterday. Pretty much does what I want. Now when I am doing 75mph and my wife says something, I can hear her, if not listen.

While we are on the entune topic is there anyway to upgrade to the nav package? Other than buying a complete new deck.

All you have to do is hold the "Mode" button for like 2 seconds and it will mute the audio without doing anything else. I would recommend a thorough read of the Entune controls section of your owners manual if you want to take full advantage of all the features.

There's a button on the bottom of the screen when you're in the map mode that looks like a crosshair with an arrow. Hit that and it'll escape.
