    My friend has A 2004 tacoma. The pad on the running board is coming up on one side.
    What could we do to repair it? any ideas

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    that stuff is held on with the super sticky 2 sided tape they use for body moldings. get some of that and peel off the entire pad (you need to so you can get a full strip on it) then reapply the tape to the surface (sometimes you need to lay strips side by side and its ok to not have full strips if you run short but try not to. its easy to cut with scissors if you have curved edges to go around, just avoid having any short bits of tape as they may not hold as secure.

    don't go with "off brands" just use 3M so you know its good stuff

    also, both surfaces need to be perfectly clean before applying the tape and apply the tape to the molding first then stick it on the bar.

    just be careful, you only get one try with that stuff, when it touches its stuck and it doesn't want to come back off so extra set of hands to line things up and keep it from touching until your ready would be a good idea
