This afternoon when I was waxing the truck I set me hand on the plastic piece that goes across the truck on the bottom of the windshield. The piece came loose on about 1/4 of the windshield. It doesn't seem like it's really protecting anything but it is loose now and it used to be tight against the windshield.

I'm not sure if water getting underneath this will be a problem? Right now it's just annoying me and I'd like to fix it but don't really know how. Any ideas would be great. It's the piece that is 2" below the wiper you can see the discoloration where the piece used to lay on the windshield.

The same thing happened to my Colorado. The rubber started to rot. The whole piece was held in place by two or three plastic fasteners that had a large flat top and a shaft with a lot of those tiny little plastic ribs on them. I don't know what's holding yours in place but I can see chunks of rubber missing. It cost $175. I hope the Toyota version is cheaper.

I don't know how to fix your problem but I can see it would be a issue if you ever do something as stupid as I did and park your truck under a tree in the springtime like I did a few weeks ago.

I had the same thing happen to me when cleaning my window. I messed with it and got it to go back in place. If I can remember how I did it I will edit this post.
