Installed a Pop & Lock PL8540 today. Works with your remote and ignition key.

    pop_zpsr1v8xjsx_44f74aaf98b6dfdc2b8ceda0605ad11e07b18f6e.jpg

It works great! No more stolen tailgates, and added security for the contents. Pretty slick item. A very easy install, except for accidently pulling the weather pack connector off of the wire. Grrrrr... it took half an hour and a wobbly pop to disassemble and repair. Also aligned the back up camera so the grid lines in the mirror display are now ligned up with the big-ass hitch.

Also did the clamp mod on the tailgate a while back. It's a cheap and easy theft deterrent for the gate. The Pop & Lock is for the contents. I wouldn't want this posse of Husky's to disappear.

    saws_zpspgnmarov_fc6c20f836b493207ed2bc536ad40ed2b47cfed4.jpg

And did this too .... as it looks now with the Avids on the side.

    ars1_zpsc20p278k_21a3bf5fcf124fcfbf2d56d94876556a262736c6.jpg

Drippin' Rust Check all over the bumper since I coated the inside of the gate while doing the tailgate mods.

Now on to the front and rear Avid bars.

5100 series Bilsteins set at 2.5", 2" block in the rear, spidertrax 1.25 wheel spacers, factory skid plate, Avid Off Road light bar, Clazzio leather seat covers, led interior lights/tag lights/reverse lights, Go Rhino running boards, Custom one piece driveshaft, TRD exhaust, TRD Pro Grille, Depo Tail lights, Truxedo Bed Cover.
How are you liking the Depo Tail lights? How does the quality of them compare to the original tail lights? I really like them but I've been on the fence about buying them. I want to make sure that they are worth buying.

They are certainly heavier/more robust than the OEM tail lights. They are of very good quality and very well built. They also look pretty cool too!

... and the local constabulary hasn't bothered me about them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

    ---------------------------------------------

    I bought here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-2005-2012-TOYOTA-TACOMA-DOT-SAE-JDM-LOOK-BLACK-LED-REAR-TAIL-LIGHTS-NEW-/351373864801?fits=Model%3ATacoma&hash=item51cf83af61&vxp=mtr

I had them shipped for free to a US address, then had them forwarded to me.

Lookin' better today. I finally installed the front 2.5's set at 2" of thread for a real 3.5" lift.

    CH to fender measurements:

    Front right = 23"
    Front Left = 23"

    icon_installed_2_inches_zpss39b5swe_acbc800b48799f21787ee7c5252a1927e730473f.jpg

    taco_up_front_zpsyljxpiqx_b606b5f86feb4a414b768f904889cd8c2ed43887.jpg

... and a 2" AAL to compliment the rear 2.0 resi's and 1 " block. And cleaned up and painted the frame. Gonna repaint the diff and leafs tomorrow.

Rear has a 1" block and 2" AAL

    Right rear = 25"
Left rear = 24 1/2" (Full tank of gas)

Ignore the butterflies and dragon flies in the background. It's a wifey thing.

    Goodbye and good riddance ReadyLift.

Hey OZ, it now runs like a dream. No more bump steer or under steer while cornering. It rides and handles like a 'truck' limo. If you have the money, go for it! You won't be disappointed.

    I'm a happy man.

Gonna try to install the front and rear Avid bars tomorrow too.

While installing the Icons I discovered that the All Pro end links are all rusting to shite, and that's only since December.

I had a busy weekend cleaning up the pile of accumulated parts.

Installed the Avid bars front and rear. When you're alone, you do what you gotta do:

    avid_install_zpsdaby3qke_83f82da0f80fe9ec735663e8a89b30c598518509.jpg

Garage stools are also jack stools; not just short garage bar stools. They're padded, adjustable, and work great!

    Check it out!

    avid_rear-wide_zpsgnlsxlas_c2f0fc69e5076a6dbe5076cb1cd4ba3b6240b2f0.jpg

I like it! Notice his little buddy sneaking a peak in the background.

I also went to OEM black emblems and Shadow Chromed the front emblem.

I also blacked out the tail pipe with two coats of BBQ paint and two coats of high temp gloss engine paint.

Yeah, I know, the flaps look lame. They are gone as soon as my new ones come in the mail.

Gonna work on the BackRack this week. It's brand new. I need to scuff, prime, and bed-guard it to match the Avid bars.

I sweetened it up a little more.

    I put on some flaps...

So I park beside a factory issue TRD Off Road ...

    trd_offroad_front_zps7difppef_e29d0dc7e903f59d34bff58a67eb36f327d9f71b.jpg

Which one is the Off Road vehicle of choice?

I can't wait to park beside a factory Pro when I go to the US this summer.

PS: OEM black head lights and Pro grill coming next week. I'll be able to crawl taller mountains with those add-ons.

I got some tail light guards that I bought brought up from MA on Sunday. I sanded them down, put three coats of adhesion primer, three coats of EZ Bedliner, and two coats of copolymer clear coat.

    Thanks, man.

Your mirrors have served me well. I like that I can reach out the window and tip them up for an even wider view when I have to.

The MT's are a very stiff tire, and run hard, loud and stiff on hard-top, but kill anything off road. They don't flex under load when towing, and bull through anything that I have encountered on or off road. I run 36 lbs in front, and 42 lbs in the rear. They are a true working truck tire. I like them.

    Thanks Marc,
I have been running Duratrac's and they are almost worn out. I was thinking of giving these tires a try because they will only be used for 4 wheeling. Plus I can get a pretty decent price on them though my work. It's either these ATZ P3's or the MTZ's, not totally sure yet though

    ^^^^

    ATZ P3's 285/70/17

These are E rated (equal to 10 ply). Apparently the sidewalls have 3 plys of Kevlar. They howl a little on hard top, so I crank up the radio!

They are all over fleabay. You just have to wait for the right price (< $35). I bought the complete set of OEM black emblems for less than $125.

Your truck is looking really good man! The smoked TRD Pro headlights look great and are next on my list. I just have to work up the strength to open the wallet and buy them!
