    This isn't about a Tacoma, but about my outboard motor. 1998 Mercury 6hp.

    In the diagram attached, piece #27, I see where it connects using the dashed lines on the right most end, but what about the end that goes towards the carb??

    Any ideas?

    When looking at the motor itself, that was my first thought. Only problem is, on my motor, that butterfly shaft arm (#3) doesn't have a hole for it to connect to....

    Maybe the Item #3 on my motor was replaced, and not replaced with the correct one? Could be....
