    Hey all,
First post here! I recently had a little mishap with the Tacoma and crushed my bed side panel pretty badly. I found a replacement bed side panel in white (my truck is silver) and I plan to get it painted. However I have painted fender flares and the part offered has the stock black flares. Can this flare be painted to match the other ones? I attached a photo of my truck (silver) and the one that the replacement part would be coming from.

    Thanks![IMG][/IMG]

Just curious ... what is wrong with that white Tacoma, that it would end up in a junk yard?

Yes, the flare can be painted. Whoever paints it just have to make sure that it is prepped right and using the correct primer (adhesion promoter). The silver one you have is the same black one that was painted at the factory, so it is possible.

Yes it can be done. The black plastic flares are the same as the painted ones.Make sure whoever paints for you uses the proper primer so the paint will adhere properly.

Sounds good guys! Anyone know what product/process should be used? I would like to know so I can quiz the body shop I go to and seem informed at the same time . I don't want these things peeling a year down the road.
