    I second the trailer connector-to-horn idea. You can run a wire from the 'brake' contact on the trailer hitch to the 'hot' wire on his horn. When he steps on the brakes it completes the circuit and the horn goes off. You can do it by using an alligator clip for the horn contact and a round crimp connector that plugs right into the trailer plug. That way there's no splicing or wire damage.
    Works best on a vehicle with a manual transmission, though, because with an automatic they have to step on the brakes to shift out of park. It's hilarious either way, and it has the added advantage of not giving them the chance to get out into traffic before they have a problem.

    Haha read the whole thread man that's exactly what I did only the circuit is controlled by a timed relay that I set for however long I want it to wait before closing. Usually I set it for 8 minutes, 15 if I know they're gonna be on a long drive. That gives plenty of time to start the truck, dick around for a minute then get out on the road before it happens :)

    I just came across this thread after searching this prank. I have gotten it this far and can get the light to come on only by the timer after it's triggered. How do I wire it to delay the trigger and then start working after time is up? Also it needs constant power, what do you do on a 4 pin with no constant power?
