My 07 Tac has 175k miles and rides so bad it is almost dangerous.
I bought it used and the dealer told me original owner was hauling a camper trailer.

The ride is not only bouncy but scoots and shimmies from side to side on rougher type roads. Can someone give me advice on what this problem might be? Im sure it has something to do with struts or springs. I notice when i have a fairly heavy load in my truck it will bottom out when hitting a bump. Can you give me strut/shock/spring recommendations? My old Silverado rode smooth. I would like my Tac to ride like it did.

    Thanks
    Dwain

shimmies? I thought only Fords did that. You sure thats a Taco you got. Ive seen chevy suvs converted to look like Escalades, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I'd do shocks all around! 5100's are a good choice!

Probably time for new shocks and maybe new leaf springs too.
