Hello members I'm new to the Forum and a proud owner of my first Tacoma. I removed the old bench seat wasn't to comfortable for me and picked up a set of Bucket seats yesterday for $200 not bad at all. Did the install today. I thought this was going to be plug and play lol so I had to remove the harness and compression pad and install in the new seat. It turned out pretty good. I would like some input from your guys on a center console my truck is a 5 speed so any input would be appreciated Thanks

Looks great! Where did you find your seats? I am looking for a set in the SW Florida area for my '95 Tacoma and haven't been able to find any seats at all.

I'd do this if behind the seats were carpeted.

I'd love to know how that goes! Might head to a few salvage yards to see how much they want for buckets.

Johnny05, put me in touch with the guy. I would be interested in his other set. Where is he located?

    Thanks.

I spoke with the guy who had the extra set of seats and they would not fit in my '95. The tracks were narrower and longer than my seat tracks. They might still be available on the local Craigslist.

Johnny05, Since you don't have airbags...I believe you didn't have any issues. Did the access cab seat connectors fit the regular cab seat connectors? I have 2014 regular cab...trying to fit 2013 4runner seats.

Oh so you took your bench wiring from your bench set and planted them in your buckets...got it. Not so easy for me, I have power seats...with more connectors and I need to get some pinout information to make sure I can connect it. Thanks for the reply.

Did you have any problems with the seat positioning sensor?

Johnny05, awesome job. Yea, I don't like the bench seat in my single cab either. So you looked on Craigslist? And any front bucket from an extra or crew cab should fit? Same year range of course.

Johnny05, are the mounting holes needed for the inside seat tracks already present in the floorpan or did you have to mod/add? I have a pair of seats from a '14 Access or something like that I want to swap into my '10 Standard Cab.

All the tips you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Am I the only person in the world that actually misses bench seats?

It's not so much that I don't want the bench seat but more that I want the storage/armrest of the console rear section.

I replaced my bench with bucket seats. Had to make a few brackets and I thought the wiring harness was a pain. The pressure sensor in the passenger seat must have more pressure on it than in the original bench because the seat belt must be buckled on the passenger side for the alarm to shut off. I'm looking for a good console now.
