I bought my tacoma with a CAI in it and was told that the previous owner had to remove the windshield washer reservoir in order for it to fit. There is a good amount of space in the back left under the hood for the resevoir, but the plug doesn't go that long. So I was just curious if any of you guys know where to get an adapter to make that plug longer before I go be an electrician and cut wires.

Don't think there's an adapter for that. You could use a waterproof connector.. As well as get an aftermarket universal reservoir. Not sure on the 97 but, sounds like you have a cai that isn't meant to be on there. As far as I know all cai's should fit no problem.. brand? pics?

I just undid the wire and brought it up under the hood when my reservoir went bad. no need for anything special. just take your time and follow the wire, it starts where you want to put the reservoir but you just need to unsnap the plastic body clips holding it and unfeed it through the fender and radiator core support

then in that empty space by the passenger fender well I mounted one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Windshield-...yota-Tacoma-/310777878185?hash=item485bce16a9

and the stock plug connected right to it. I just had to reroute the hose and moved the 90 fitting from under the fender up to where it connects to the hood squirter nozzels
