I hope this is the right forum to post and yes I've used the search already, I busted the little rubber boot by using the wrong type of ball joint separator (fork type) instead of clamp type. Do you know of anywhere I can pick a replacement up besides the dealer? Also while we're at it, where can I get the clamp type separator tool?

Energy suspension makes replacement urethane ones. Harbor Freight has an inexpensive ball joint separator.

Thank you EvenFlow I'll go to harbor freight tomorrow and get this fucking thing separated and call Energy suspension on Monday. A primitive hammer worked on my last taco but not this 2015. Just sold my motorcycle today so have no alternative transportation. Time to recruit some friends :p

If you want to go cheap you can always go to advanced or auto zone and rent their tool. Then return it for a 100% refund. I do it with a credit card and it is amazingly simple. Of course look before you leave as sometimes they will send you off with something that has parts missing...

I use a Pitman puller, works great and they're pretty cheap. Sears, Napa, AutoZone should all have them.
